Job Stories From Boone County, IN
Wet, Damp Basement Turns to Mold in Whitestown, IN

Suzi had a wet, damp basement that was causing mold to form on her basement walls. Realizing this could become a major long-term problem for her health, she contacted Basement Systems of Indiana to come out and provide a reasonable and effective solution. Our sales representative Josh inspected the basement and determined that the mold and water issues be taken care of immediately or it would lead to much bigger problems.

During the inspection, Josh determined that this job for our production crew would need to include mold remediation, a WaterGuard below floor drain system, a TripleSafe sump pump, IceGuard, and SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.  This basement waterproofing system would ultimately remove any water coming into through the basement walls and take care of the mold problem.

The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was a crucial addition to this job, because it is the world's most efficient, high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system, without a bulky heat exchange core. Another major benefit to our Sedona dehumidifier is that it is a a "set it and forget it" process, meaning the system has automatic drainage and humidity sensing.

After doing a final walkthrough of the basement waterproofing system installed by our foreman Gunnar and his crew, Suzi seemed very happy that this system would take care of the water and mold issues.  Don't wait to take care of mold growing in your basement, contact us today!

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Lebanon, IN

Don's crawl space lacked an encapsulation and drainage system, which was causing water to accumulate over time.  Our sales inspector Josh determined that if the water issues were not properly taken care of, mold could begin growing due to increased humidity.

Our foreman Joe and his crew members Terry and Herschel got to work on removing debris from the crawl space in order to install the CleanSpace vapor barrier for encapsulation.  The crew did not encounter any major issues during the install but did have to overcome the limited space in the crawl space.

Along with the CleanSpace vapor barrier, the crew installed a SmartSump pump to remove any water from the crawl space and carry it to the EZ Flow drainage system.  The job was completed in 4 days and the homeowner Don was thrilled that he no longer had to worry about a nasty crawl space.

Crawl Space Wall Insulation and Encapsulation in Zionsville, IN

Cary and her family were experiencing cold floors and drafts throughout her home.  Realizing these issues were coming from her poorly ventilated crawl space, she called the Basement Systems of Indiana team for a solution.  Our sales inspector came to Cary's home for a free inspection to figure out why she was having issues with cold drafts.

Eric determined that because the crawl space was not encapsulated and insulated properly, Cary's home was prone to cold drafts and cold floors.  The solution in this instance was for our production crew to install SilverGlo wall vapor barrier and fully encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier.

The crawl space repairs were completed in three days by our production team leaving Cary very happy that she would no longer have to worry about cold floors and drafts in her home.  The combination of the SilverGlo wall insulation and CleanSpace encapsulation work to keep more heat in the crawl space and home, fully maximizing energy savings.

Sump Pump Replacement in Jamestown, IN

Homeowner Eric had a sump pump in his basement that began malfunctioning over time.  He was concerned about water getting into his basement during heavy rains and needed to have a sump pump replaced to protect against flooding.  Eric began searching for reliable waterproofing companies online and found Basement Systems of Indiana.  Our Sales Inspector Dave went to Eric's home for a free inspection to assess the situation and determine an effective solution.

Dave explained our available sump pump options and thoroughly examine the entire basement to get an idea of which sump pump would be the best fit for Eric.  Dave concluded that the TripleSafe Sump Pump would be the most logical solution, because of its ability to provide three levels of protection against floods.  The TripleSafe Sump Pump has been tested in the harshest conditions and passed with flying colors, making it a reliable source of protection for any basement.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Neill and Bret installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump, IceGuard Discharge Line System to prevent freezing during the wintertime, and a LawnScape outlet that lets the water out onto the surface while camouflaging the end of the pipe with a lid that comes off for easy cleaning.  The homeowner Eric was very happy that his basement now had a working sump pump that will protect his basement from water.  If you need a sump pump replaced or are interested in having one installed, please contact us today!  https://www.basementsystemsofindiana.com/free-estimate.html

Basement Waterproofing and Wall Repair in Zionsville, IN

This homeowner in Zionsville, Indiana is flipping the house for a profit and needed several repairs done in the basement to increase the value of the home.  For starters, the basement walls were bowing significantly causing severe foundation issues, which easily allowed water to seep into the basement.  The homeowner Oscar found Basement Systems of Indiana online and reached out for a free estimate from our Sales Inspector Josh.

Josh went out to inspect the basement in Zionsville, Indiana and determine a viable solution for both the wall damage and wet basement.  Josh explained that our crew would first have to dig a trench for a floor drainage system that would capture the water entering the basement through the cracked, bowing walls and drain it to a sump pump.  Once the basement is fully waterproof, our crew could begin working on stabilizing the basement walls.

Our Foreman Nolan and his crew members Deonte and John installed the WaterGuard floor drainage system and a TripleSafe Sump Pump to keep the basement dry all the time.  They then installed the PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System the failing foundation walls that were bowing inward.  This home is now 100% waterproof and permanently stabilized, which would greatly increase the value of the home for flipping potential.

Basement Waterproofing and Wall Repair in Zionsville, IN

This homeowner in Zionsville, Indiana needed significant repairs to his basement including a waterproofing solution and wall stabilization system.  Water had been leaking into the basement caused by large stair-stepping cracks in the basement foundation walls and the problem had continued to get worse over time according to the homeowner.  He found Basement Systems of Indiana online and quickly reached out to inquire about a free, no obligation estimate.

Our Sales Inspector Josh went out to the home in Zionsville, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection of the basement to determine how to stabilize the walls and a solution for the water issues.  During the inspection, Josh explained how water can seep through cracks in the walls and onto the floor over time.  Until the foundation wall is repaired, water would continue to wreak havoc in the basement.

Our basement waterproofing and wall repair Foreman Ryan led a crew who installed a WaterGuard perimeter floor drainage system in the basement, a sump pump, and CleanSpace wall vapor barrier.  The crew then installed PowerBraces, which are a Foundation Wall Support System designed to raise the wall back to its original position. This system does not involve any exterior excavation and installs quickly with minimal disruption to your basement space.  With the conclusion of the installation, the homeowner's basement is now dry and will remain dry, and his foundation walls are now fully supported and stabilized!

Crawl Space Vapor Barrier in Jamestown, IN

This homeowner in Jamestown, Indiana had a dirt crawl space, which was causing moisture build up and high humidity.  Without a vapor barrier covering the ground and walls, the crawl space had become very vulnerable to mold growth.  The homeowner saw a television ad for Basement Systems of Indiana and reached out for a free estimate.

Our Sales Inspector Steve went out the home to provide a thorough inspection of the crawl space to determine how we could protect the crawl space from moisture and humidity.  Steve recommended having a vapor barrier installed that would completely seal the crawl space, a sump pump to remove any water leaking in, and a dehumidifier to purify the air.

Our Foreman Nolan and his crew members Deonte and John used a thick, durable crawl space liner called CleanSpace vapor barrier for the encapsulation, a SuperSump Pump to keep the crawl space dry, and an energy efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to control the environment.  The homeowner was very happy with the presentation from the salesman, the price, and outcome of the job.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Jamestown, IN

This homeowner in Jamestown, Indiana was concerned about high humidity and moisture in his crawl space after noticing rotten insulation and dampness throughout the crawl space.  Due to the shear size of the crawl space he felt it was best to have an expert come out to provide a thorough inspection of the situation and determine a solution to the high humidity.  While at the Indianapolis Home Show, he spoke with our Sales Inspector Jay about the issues that he was having with his crawl space.

After their initial conversation, Jay went out to the home in Jamestown to provide a thorough inspection of the crawl space to see what could be causing the high humidity and dampness.  He explained to the homeowner that the type of existing insulation in the crawl space was absorbing the moisture that was passing through the ground and walls that lacked an encapsulation system.  His recommendations were to have the rotten insulation and debris removed before having a full encapsulation system installed.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Kyle and Blake installed CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo thermal wall insulation to prevent moisture from passing through the ground and walls.  They also installed a TripleSafe sump pump and an energy-efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.  This crawl space went from a damp, humid crawl space to a clean, healthy space that the homeowner will no longer have to worry about.

Crawl Space Encapsulation in Thorntown, IN

This homeowner in Thorntown, Indiana had concerns about water leaking into his crawl space through the ground and walls.   The standing water in the crawl space had also caused mold growth on the wooden floor joists in the crawl space and the air was rising into the home.  He began searching for a reliable company who could address the water and mold issues in the crawl space and reached out to Basement Systems of Indiana.

Our Certified Inspector Josh went out to the home in Thorntown, Indiana to provide a thorough inspection and estimate of the crawl space to determine a solution that could address the water and mold issues all in one.  Without a drainage system and sump pump installed, Josh noted that the water had no route to exit the crawl space and would continue to pool in the crawl space causing high humidity and mold.  Josh recommended to the homeowner that we install a drainage system around the perimeter of the crawl space, a sump pump, vapor barrier encapsulation, and dehumidifier to keep the crawl space dry.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Kyle and Aaron installed an EZflow drainage system that would redirect the water to a SmartSump pump, which would then remove the water out of the crawl space and away from the foundation of the home.  The crew then encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture from passing through the ground and walls.  Lastly, an energy-efficient SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control the relative humidity in the crawl space and create a healthier below-grade space.

Crawl Space Vapor Barrier System in Thorntown, IN

A rental property owner in Thorntown, Indiana had two properties that he was having crawl space issues with including humidity, moisture, and water seepage.  Concerned about the health of his tenants, he wanted to have a crawl space expert come out to take a look and provide solutions to transform the nasty crawl space into a clean, healthy environment.  Our Inspector Chip went out to the first rental property in Thorntown, Indiana to meet with the owner regarding this concerns and plans for the rental property.

During the inspection, Chip noticed how poor the overall air quality was in the crawl space due to it being vented and a lack of insulation or vapor barrier.  His first recommendation to the owner was to have the crawl space completely encapsulated with a vapor barrier to control the moisture levels.  The next step in the crawl space encapsulation process would be to dehumidify the air with our energy-efficient dehumidifier.

Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Troy, Juan Pablo, and Jesus encapsulated the crawl space using a thick, durable CleanSpace vapor barrier liner sealing the ground and walls.  The crew then installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier that will greatly improve the overall environment in the crawl space and throughout the home as well.

Basement Waterproofing System in Thorntown, IN

A homeowner in Thorntown, Indiana had an older sump pump that was no longer able to keep up with a high volume of water.  Our Certified Inspector Devon met with the homeowner to discuss our patented waterproofing system and sump pump system that will keep the basemen dry all year round.

During his inspection, Devon was able to identify where the water was leaking into the basement from, but our waterproofing system is cost effective and will prevent any issues in the future.  Our Certified Inspector Evert and his crew members Miguel, Edwin, and Ramon installed our WaterGuard drainage system, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and SuperSump pump with a battery back up system.

The homeowner was very happy with the crew's efficiency and work ethic throughout the 2 day waterproofing project of the basement.  The homeowner will now no longer have to worry about rain wreaking havoc on their basement.
