Our Foreman Joe and his crew members Brian and Isaac were tasked with the crawl space repairs.  The crew had to first remove a significant amount of debris and rotten insulation that was causing a moisture build up in the crawl space.  Once the ground was clear, the crew sealed it with CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent moisture and water from passing through the ground.  SmartJack support posts were installed to stabilize the sagging floors and eliminate the unevenness of the floors inside the home.   

A building owner of a very old gymnasium in Economy, Indiana had several issues in his basement that needed addressed.  The owner's goal was to restore the gymnasium and keep it in the best condition possible.  His main concerns were water intrusion in the basement, high humidity, and protecting the structural integrity of the gym floor.  Our Certified Inspector Terry met with the building owner to discuss all of his concerns and to determine a permanent solution that will keep the basement dry and to provide floor support.  

During the inspection, Terry informed the homeowner that in order to keep the entire basement dry, a drainage system would need to be installed around the entire interior perimeter of the basement to collect water seeping through the wall and under the slab.  The drainage system would then be connected to a sump pump system, which would then remove the water completely from the basement.  Terry then took measurements of the of the floor joists to see how much the gym floor above had dropped in a few areas.  By doing this, Terry could determine how many jacks would need to be installed to provide permanent support. 

Our Foreman Isaias and his crew members Olvin, Edwin, and Kevin used jackhammers to break out the concrete slab around the entire interior perimeter of the basement.  The crew then installed our patented WaterGuard drainage system on top of the basement footer to collect water intrusion that passes through the concrete slab floor and block wall.  Our TripleSafe sump pump and battery back up system was installed for ultimate protection against a flood.  The uneven gym floor was addressed with SmartJack support posts to stabilize the floor joists in the basement.
